Tire Selection Help

All-Season Tires

Best for most Omaha drivers. Work year-round in rain, light snow, and dry conditions. Most popular option for cars and SUVs.

Winter/Snow Tires

Superior traction in snow and ice. Rubber compound stays flexible in freezing temperatures. If you drive through Omaha winters regularly, winter tires significantly improve safety. Install in November, remove in March.

Performance Tires

Better handling and cornering for sports cars and performance vehicles. Trade-off: shorter tread life and less comfortable ride.

All-Terrain and Mud-Terrain (Trucks/SUVs)

All-terrain tires handle both pavement and off-road use. Mud-terrain tires excel off-road but are noisy and wear faster on pavement.

Tire Installation Includes

  • Mounting and balancing
  • New valve stems
  • Tire disposal
  • Visual brake inspection
  • Torque to manufacturer specifications

When to Replace Tires

Replace when:

  • Tread depth below 4/32" (for safety in wet/snow)
  • Tread depth at 2/32" (legal minimum, but unsafe)
  • Visible damage to sidewalls or tread
  • Irregular wear patterns
  • Tires older than 6-8 years regardless of tread depth

Check tread depth with the penny test: insert a penny upside down in the tread. If you see all of Lincoln's head, tires need replacement.

Tire Maintenance

  • Check pressure monthly
  • Rotate every 5,000-7,500 miles
  • Maintain proper alignment
  • Balance if you feel vibration

Proper maintenance extends tire life and improves fuel economy.

Cost Range: Varies widely by brand, size, and type. We'll provide quotes for multiple options.
