Common problems we fix

What we see most often in our bays. Recognize one? Book an inspection and we will show you what we find.

Rear suspension rattle over bumps

A rattle from the back of the car on rough roads, usually from loose rear stabilizer bar links or worn bushings.

Suspension and Steering

Vibration at highway speeds

A vibration felt through the car around 55 mph, often traced to worn engine mounts that Mazda has since revised.

Engine Services

Overheating from cooling fan module

The engine runs hot or the radiator fan runs nonstop or not at all, caused by a failed cooling fan control module.

Cooling & Heating

Early rear brake wear and sticking calipers

Grinding or squeaking from the rear brakes and calipers that drag or seize, wearing out pads and rotors early.

Brakes

Hard shifts and transmission slipping

Hesitation before a shift, then a jolt into the next gear once the transmission warms up, common on the CX-9.

Transmissions

Turbocharger failure on the CX-7

A noticeable loss of power or sluggish acceleration on the turbocharged CX-7 when the turbo wears out and fails.
